We visited Shi Xiao Ma's home, and he showed us this.
This is a famous teapot. It was featured as one of the four Zisha pots from master artisans on the Chinese stamp about 30 years ago. The original one for the stamp was gone (sold? collected in museum somewhere?) Anyway, Shi wasn't planning to make another one, until recently some highly positioned officer in Beijing made repeated request for one. Shi then made two - one sold to the officer for RMB300,000 and one to keep. The one I photographed is to be shipped to Beijing.
