玩火的少年

In front of my home is a nice little beach.
我家窗前有個美麗的小沙灘。

Some times I saw people came down from the sky and land on the beach.
有時會見到從天而降的滑翔傘。

More often I saw photographers shooting pretty girls on the beach.
更多見的是影友們沙灘上影美女！

Then on Christmas Eve of 2009, I saw this fire dragon dancing on the beach.
在2009年聖誕夜，我見到沙灘有條火龍在舞。

Turned out someone was playing with fire on the beach.
原來有人在沙灘上練玩火！

At dinner time today, we saw the fire dragon again! I ran down to the beach with my camera.
今天晚飯時，又見火龍再現！
馬上拿起相機，衝落沙灘。影！

I asked for permission to take pictures. And he was nice enough to show me fire breathing！
玩火的少年不單不介意我拍照，還特意表演了噴火絕技！

I asked what was the liquid he put in his mouth. He told me it's called Fire Oil. (I am guessing it's the fuel for some camping gears.) The good thing about this fuel, according to him, is that it's not as volatile as kerosene and reduced the chance to burn himself. But the bad thing is that his mouth and face would be full of oil that he need to wash quite a bit afterward.
 
我問他噴出的液體是甚麼。他說是“火油”。我的理解就是露營燈點的燃料。他說火油的好處是不會搶火，不容易燒傷自己，但會滿口油。

I asked why is he doing this. He told me that he worked as an entertainer in Ocean Park, and playing fire is his hobby. He also told me that he does not have a real teacher. He learn the trick from the Internet!

玩火的少年叫“俊俊”。他日間在海洋公園工作，玩火是他自己的興趣。他沒有正式的師傅，把戲都是網上看片學的。

I asked if any one complained or any police patrol asked him to stop. He said that he had encountered police before, but they did not ask him to leave. The beach is as good a place to practice as he can get. If he was accidentally caught on fire, he can always jump to the water or roll on the sand.

我問他有沒有警察干涉過他練習。他說試過有警察問，但都沒有趕他走，有時候更加有不少人圍觀他練習。沒有正式的練習場地，沙灘已經是最合適的地方。有甚麼事燒着，都可以跳進海里，或在沙上滾。
