Went to 2010 International Art Fair this afternoon. Some of the art pieces are selling at rocket high price, some are just for showing.......
Like usually exhibition of arts, they usually do not allow taking photos and you can see "Do not photo" signs everywhere. However, I saw a lot of people taking photos there and no one stops them to do so. Then, I also start taking photos......and share you some of them.
As what I had learned in Museu de Louver, Art is something that you have to feel, not to watch.......so no description this time.
-
The first one is a sculptrure. The second one is a sand painting.....
-
The first one is using the paint without brush.....The second one......you know I like the Beatles....
-
The first one....some objects in the frame are actually moving......but this set up is using in the "清明上河圖" in expo...
The second one is funny......
-
We saw a small group of kids doing drawings in the exhibition. In order to get them together, there was a rope tied on their wrists.......
The first time I saw this LOVE sign was at Shinjuku, Tokyo. That one was huge and stood on the office area. This is a small one......

A glass floor tile......take a close look at the 2nd photos.....there are tiny sculptures holding the glass up...
-
3 funny stuff.....an red aluminium aeroplane engine, there comes a baby statue of liberty and ......you can read it yourself....

This one is from a small "shop" in the fair. They are selling a glass of champagne at HK$120. It is Veuve Clicquot Posardin......They have this small piece using the card box of its yellow label champagne to make "bubbling".....
-
I saw some paintings that I related them to some wines ......
I will post those pictures together with the wines on my mind in our "wine" section.

Thanks Hang for the wonderful sharing. . . . Do you go to this kind of Art show often? ;D
-
No......but whenever I see there is any Art show....I will usually go into and take a look. I'd never go to this kind of show deliberately......but this time my wife got invitation cards......
-
Tina got the invitation for the Pre-exhibition show on 25 May 2011 and I somehow had to go with her. This year I saw some old stuff from last year but there were more paintings and sculptures.
Maybe because of the experience they had last year, most of the exhibits were allowed to take pictures BUT, also because of last year experience, Tina and I did not bring camera. >:(
What we had was 2 iphones and I will post some picture here again.....later... ;)

-

Yes....all from Jeans....
-
Some of the works I don't really understand.
In my mind, good art works arouse emotions - could be a pleasurable feeling, poetic feeling, etc... But some of them just plain weird.
-
Yes, I also find that some artworks are "intentionally" made them art ......
The show this year is not so good as the last year one. More importantly, it seems that the show goes more commercial. Last year we can walk around under a relatively quiet environment. This time a lot of discussion there, some with potunghua of course and I always heard that they were talking about price.
Besides, most of the artwork this year has a name tag AND a price tag. I never saw a price tag last year.....
and you maybe right...I felt the tone of almost all artwork were like a haunted movie....strange and weird sculptures, painting, etc. Some light shows even like a scary movie... :-\
