When we walked back to the city center from the little mermaid, we passed by the St Alban's Church and Gefionspringvandet. They are the church for the barrack.

Nyhavn is the restaurant and hot tourist spot for clubbing / drinking. A bit like Venice or Amsterdam.

Foods in Copenhagen are generally very good, but the highly rated restaurants need early reservation. We went to have steak that night and we are satisfied from entree to dessert, wine too.

We activated our Copenhage Card the next day and started our 3-day activities in Copenhagen area. The first day was a day of outing. We took an hour train to Hillerod. We went there to visit Frederiksborg Castle. This is the official introduction: Frederiksborg Castle is the largest Renaissance Castle in Scandinavia. The castle was built by King Christian IV in the early decades of the 17th century and incorporates the best of Renaissance architecture and craftsmanship. Now this castle is the national museum and a world heritage.
You need to take a 15 minute walk from rail station to the castle but part of the path is along the lake, which gives you a good view of the castle.

The castle is beautiful and classic. Good use of the colour and pattern. A lot of craftwork too. I had visited quite a number of castle in Europe but this one is worth to visit. The last picture is the entrance hall to dinner room. Interesting colour matching.
