We went to Indonesia for the summer travelling to Malang, Bali & Jakarta.

Most of the picture here were taken in Bali where the sights and scene were more interesting to me.

Sanur Beach

We stayed in a hotel on the Sanur Beach for the first few days in Bali. We then moved to another hotel on the Kuta Beach for the 2nd half of the holiday here in Bali.

In the garden of our hotel in Sanur is a giant tree. The tree was surrended with short walls and its own mini temple. There is also a sign on the entrance to the tree women in period are not allowed.

Morning Offering

In the morning, hotel employee clip fresh flowers from trees and make offering to the gods.

Welcome Dance

In one evening, there was a wedding dinner in our hotel. The garden path were lit up with candles, and a traditional Balinese welcome dance were performed.

It was quite a show for the other guests of the hotel.

Monkey Temple

In Bali there are a few temples where monkeys roam freely and become a tourist attraction.

In the first picture a temple caretaker is making fresh flower offerings.

In the second picture a tourist is having a close encounter with a monkey. Fun?
